About Me
I knew I wanted to become a teacher when I was in grade school. I started taking pictures in middle school during a fun summer school class and later took all the graphics and photo classes that were offered at my high school. That's when I knew what I wanted to teach. I went to the University of Wisconsin - Stout and studied Technology Education. Then I moved out to California so my husband could study to become a bug doctor... seriously! I've been teaching at Hesperia High School since 2005, and truly believe I believe I have my dream job. I like to shoot portraits, but more than anything I LOVE to help students express themselves creatively through photography. When not at school I love to camp, read, garden (especially succulents), and do anything crafty. |

About My Classes
I teach Beginning Photography, Advanced Photography, and AP Studio Art 2D Design (Photography). In general, Beginning is for anybody who wants to learn how light makes pictures, how to be more creative, and the basics of Photoshop. Advanced is for those who want to continue to try new things in the areas of photography and Photoshop, and AP is for those who want to go beyond that and earn college credit. |
